Hazard template database
Our goal from the start has been to save you time and money by eliminating duplicated effort and repetitive tasks.
To save significant time documenting similar hazards on similar products, CERTAIN provides the option to save both documented hazards and entire hazard chapters as templates for use at a later date.
Documenting hazards is explained in detail in the previous section "The Risk Assessment"
Here we will take a look at where these hazard and chapter templates are located and can be managed.
1. Click on Hazard templates
In the main navigation menu on the left select Hazard templates
2. Hazard template overview
This section is split into two distinct areas, hazard templates and hazard chapters .
Hazard templates
In this area you can both manage hazard templates you've created previously in projects and also create new templates not yet associated with a product or project. If you have saved a hazard template in the past from within a risk assessment, those hazards will be listed individually here with their category, description and any relevant chapter references.
Chapter templates
It is also possible to store complete chapters of multiple hazards for use in subsequent projects. The application of hazard chapters is also described in detail in the section "Risk Assessment". In this template area you can manage and create chapter templates. If you have created and saved hazard chapters in the past from within a risk assessment, they will all be listed here.
